Chicken XING - BAF's SpeedHack 2011 Entry

Chicken XING is a simple action game. Controlling a chicken, your goal is to collect and eat as many pizzas as possible - as you will find out, chickens love to eat pizza!

---------
Gameplay:
---------

Walk around, avoiding the cars and collecting as many pizzas as you can! Do note that you're safe in each lane, just above the car.

-------------
Requirements:
-------------

Allegro 5, with the audio codecs, audio, TTF, image, and primitives addons. DUMB is required for the audio codecs plugin to load the game music.

----------------
Rule Compliance:
----------------

 - Genre - E for Everyone
Chicken XING is suitable for anyone age 6 and up. The game contains minimal violence, and no use of mild language.

 - Technical - Random Playing
The generation of road traffic and the placement of pizzas are random.

 - Technical - Laziness
The game starts at a midrange difficulty level. As the player dies, or spends too much time without picking up a pizza, the difficulty level is reduced. If the player
goes for a while without dying, or picks up many pizzas in a short time frame, the difficulty increases. Higher difficulty levels reduce the frequency and duration
of the pizzas that appear, as well as making traffic heavier and faster moving.

 - Artistic - Brainwashing Propaganda
The game propagandizes the idea that chickens like pizza. This is done both through the ticker texts that randomly appear at the bottom of the screen, and the premise
of the game itself. It would be difficult for a player to come away from the game without getting the message.

 - Artistic - Color Symbolism
All deaths are tracked throughout gameplay, notably color of the car that hit the player. The player can press escape at any time and access the statistics menu option
to view graphs of deaths by car color. It is not immediately obvious that color plays any role in the game without first viewing the stats page (or reading this text).

 - Bonus - Act of Chameleon
	Not used.
